Ingredients
- 120g quark (1/2 cup)
- 100g grated cheese (eg. Emmentaler or Gruyere, 1/2 cup)
- 1 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Tsp Oregano (optional)
- A pinch of salt
- Pepper
- 80g Creme fraiche (1/3 cup)
- 50g Diced bacon (1/4 cup)
- 2 Scallions
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 180°c (356°F)
- Mix quark, cheese (leave about 20g for later), Parmesan and eggs. Season with oregano, salt and pepper to taste.
- Form two round puddles of that mixture on a baking sheet and bake for 15mins
- Chop the scallions
- Put creme fraiche, diced bacon, scallions and the remaining cheese on the tartes
- Bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the tartes start turning brown
Note:
- Due to the cheese the dough is already salty, judge for yourself whether it needs more.
- The base of the tarte can also be used in other ways, such as for keto tortillas, Pizza or wraps.
