- ⏲️ Prep time: 5 min
- 🍳 Cook time: 15-20 min
- 🍽️ Servings: The recipe makes 3-4 servings
- 🔪Tools: bowl, baking oven
Ingredients
- 1 bag unsalted pork rinds (100g / 4oz)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (ca 60g)
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract (optional)
- 50g sweetener of your choice (1/4 cup)
- 1 tbsp ground organic cinnamon
Directions
- Pre-heat the oven to 110°c / 225°F
- Pour your pork rinds into a bowl
- Mix the sweetener and the cinnamon
- Melt the butter and add the vanilla extract to the butter
- Pour the butter and the cinnamon-sweetener mix over the pork rinds and stir them up
- Distribute them over a baking pan (maybe use some parchment paper)
- Bake them for 15-20 minutes.
- Let them cool down and store them in an airtight container.
Note:
- They keep for around 3-4 days after which the butter may begin to oxidize.
- You can use any sweetener like Allulose, Erythritol, Monkfruit, etc. as long as it’s crystallized (I have used brown monkfruit sweetener from Lakanto).
- If you have a sweet tooth you can easily add more of the sweetener to your taste.
- Instead of vanilla extract you could also use vanillin with less carbs.
- You could also eat them right out of the oven, but watch out for the hot butter.
- If they get soft after a day or two, put them into the oven again at 110°c / 225°F for 10 minutes.
