Directions
- Cut the butter in cubes and put them in the pan.
- Under low heat, let the butter melt and simmer for about 30 minutes. The butter will separate into the milk solids at the bottom of the pan and liquid fat at the top.
- When the cooking time is over, filter the hot butter through your cheese cloth and fill the ghee into the jar.
- Let it cool.
Notes
- It can be stored at room temperature for 9–12 months if unopened and 3–6 months after opening, provided it is kept in an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from heat and light.
